Reviews of the CONTINENTAL WinterContact TS 860 : user feedback and experiences

WinterContact TS 860 tyres from the CONTINENTAL brand generally appear to receive very good reviews, with an average rating of 4.43 out of 5 for the year 2026.

4.4/5
4.4/5

The Continental WinterContact TS 860 tire is a winter tire whose user reviews mostly describe high grip on snow and reassuring traction in cold weather, with braking considered safe on wet roads. According to feedback, road holding remains stable on daily trips and in the mountains, including on clear motorways, and road noise is often perceived as well controlled. Drivers do note, however, that on dry roads when temperatures rise, the handling may seem less suitable and wear is mentioned more often. Longevity is still not well documented in some of the reviews.

Strengths

  • Very good performance on snow and on cold road surfaces
  • Grip and braking appreciated on wet roads in winter
  • Stable road holding and driving considered reassuring
  • Generally quiet road noise for a winter tire
  • Value for money often considered favourable

Weaknesses

  • Less suitable when temperatures rise, especially on dry roads
  • Wear sometimes considered faster in mild/warm conditions

Recommended driver profile: Suitable for drivers looking for safe winter use (daily trips, cold areas, hilly or mountainous terrain), often fitted on Peugeot 205, Peugeot 108, Citroën C1 and Kia Soul, with a smooth to regular driving style.

This summary is based on an analysis of user reviews collected by our team from the main tire sales websites.
