KLEBER tyres


KLEBER is a brand with over a century of experience.The French brand KLEBER tyres was the creation of an American company founded in Akron in 1870 by BF Goodrich. In 1911 the factory BF GOODRICH in the Hauts-de-Seine designed its first tyre. Goodrich climbed up the corporate leadder with the first tyre for aircraft, whitewall for Chambord, the Tracsol, the tubeless. In 1945, the company moved to avenue Kléber in Paris and it became KLEBER in 1968. KLEBER took in 1971 a boxer as their mascot. MICHELIN became the majority shareholder of the brand in 1981. For the first time in the history of car rallies, a woman, Michèle Mouton became the vice-champion in world rally sporting event with an Audi equipped with KLEBER tyres.
